In recent years many insurance companies have insisted on expensive premium loadings for pilots wishing to take out life assurance. In some cases these loadings are applied even if just a few hours are flown each year. Worst still, some insurers will exclude claims resulting from a flying accident altogether.
Given that most policies are set to run for many years the effect of even a small loading can run into £££’s over the term… and if your policy excludes flying activities there’s always that nagging worry... what if?
Stein Financial have carefully researched the market and, for example, are able to source cover at standard rates for Microlight , Group A and Glider Pilots flying up to 100 hours p.a. The vast majority of policies we arrange have no premium loading or exclusions . Even if a loading is required , we know which insurer to approach to keep this cost to a minimum.
We’ve been arranging policies of this type since 1989 and know a fair bit about your passion as our aviation protection advisor is also a private pilot. All our policies are arranged with UK based household name insurers.
Should you have any questions in relation to critical illness or income protection insurance then we’ll be pleased to help on these matters too.
Our expertise also covers Rotary, Paraglider, Paramotor and Hang Glider flying.
If you’re a PPL(A), NPPL/(M) or BGA license holder you’ll also receive a premium discount which will apply for the term of the plan.
So, if you have an existing contract with a premium loading or are considering a new policy then please contact us by email or phone. We do have an online quote system but this will only give an indicative premium – its best to call us so that we can determine which insurer is most suited dependent upon your flying hours and aircraft flown. |
